Remember to keep Lily in your prayers tommorrow. We still have not been told what time her surgery will be, they are supposed to call us today. But, keep her (and me and Bryan) in your prayers! I'm glad we are doing this while she's young, because she really doesn't know what is going on. She just knows that when she wakes up, she'll get to have a popsicle! She doesn't realize that she may not feel like eating it, bless her little heart!
A quick word:
1 Peter 5:7-11 says Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
I believe what this verse is saying first of all, give Him your problems and your burdens. I like to say that My God is a lot bigger than any problem the devil throws at me! And that is so true, but a lot of times we don't have faith that He will take care of it. Also in this verse it talks about the devil (our adversary) as a roaring lion walketh about. He is waiting to attack just when the time is right. And if you don't take your problems to the Lord, and pray for guidance, you are leaving the door wide open for the devil to come in and tell you all sorts of lies. The last few words in this scripture says the God of all grace will stablish (establish), strengthen and settle you. Which means exactly what it says. Be steadfast in the Word, take your problems to Him, and let him strengthen and comfort you. He CARES for you!
